The Journey so far!
RCCG Worldwide was born in 1952, destined by the Lord Himself to take the world for Him. The church continued to meet at 9 Willoughby Street until they were able to acquire some land thereby witnessing relocation to the present site of the Headquarters of the church at 1-5 Redemption Way, Ebute-Metta, Lagos (formerly 1a, Cemetery Street).
In July 2011 there were 23,000 parishes worldwide but pesently, RCCG parishes exist in many African countries, as well as Europe, Asia, the United States, the Caribbean, Canada, South America and Australia
RCCG has also been involved in establishing schools, rehabilitation centers, child care and support centers.
Joins the Church
On May 4, 1973. a man, Enoch Adejare Adeboye who was then a lecturer of Mathematics at the University of Lagos joined the church and soon became involved in the church. He became one of the interpreters translating Pa Akindayomi’s sermons from Yoruba to English. On March 14, 1975, Pastor Adeboye was ordained a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of Go in 1975.

Mathematics Lecturer Joins the Church
On May 4, 1973, a Mathematics Lecturer joined the Church. His name - Enoch Adejare Adeboye. He succeeded Pa Akindayomi as General Overseer on November 2, 1980 -

1st Parish in North America Started
On April 5, 1991, a mentee of the General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor E. A. Adeboye, Pastor Fadel started the first parish of RCCG in North America – Winner’s Chapel, Detroit in 1991.
